Question by Angel: What are some helpful tips for choosing a new notebook computer?
I'm looking to buy a new notebook and I need some tips to buy the right one. I know i want one with 802.11abgn built in and with at least 2GB of RAM and at least 120GB hard drive. I want a fast processor for multitasking. Can someone please advise if i'm overlooking anything or if there is something new like new processors coming in the next few months. Any tips or ideas would help thanks.
Mostly I will do music applications like music editing and maybe video.

What you want to do with it.
Example:
If you are playing lots of games, you'll want a laptop with a good graphics card.
Likewise, if you are going to college, you'll want a light-weight one, that has good office programs and capabilities.
If you are doing lots of music and video editing, a big hard drive with processing power is good.

It all depends on what exactly you want to do.

Plus battery life will be a factor. Alot of things factor into the battery……. screen size, hard drive speed, cpu speed. So if you will be using your notebook unplugged for a while, I would look at the average battery life on the specs. 6cell or 8cell battery.
